Canada’s sesquicentennial gives people living in this country many reasons to celebrate. One of them, of course, is books. Check out this blog post I wrote for the Athabasca University website—just a few of my own favourites.

At your suggestion in the above, I went to the list that you did for AU and I’ll certainly have a look at those titles, especially the young adult fantasy novels by Monica Hughes and Thomas Wharton. I read Anne of Green Gables when I took Jon Stott’s children’s lit course.
